As part of Istanbul Kültür University's General University Orientation Programs for the 2026–2027 academic year, the “Digital Systems Orientation Program” was organized to support newly enrolled students in adapting to academic life and to ensure they are familiar with the digital systems they will use throughout their time at the university.

Organized by the Student Affairs Office’s Kültür Points on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00 via the Microsoft Teams platform, the program was attended by over 300 students. The program aimed to help students learn about the university’s academic and administrative operations, familiarize themselves with the digital platforms they will actively use throughout their education, and acquire basic knowledge and skills regarding the use of these systems.

The program began with an opening speech by our Dean of Students, Assoc. Prof. Gamze Alptekin. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of students’ adaptation to university life and provided information about the general operations of Istanbul Kültür University, the opportunities available to students, and the responsibilities and activities of the Office of the Dean of Students.

The program continued with training and presentations on the digital systems students will actively use in their academic work.

First, Assist. Prof. Levent Çuhacı, Assistant Professor and Director of the Department of Enterprise Information Management, delivered the “SAP ORION Student Applications Training.” During the training, information was provided on the SAP ORION system—which students will use in their academic and administrative processes—and the system’s basic areas of use were introduced.

Organized in collaboration with Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and the Technological Transformation Education Foundation (TEKDEV), the “Istanbul E-Commerce & E-Export Conference” brought together leading representatives of the e-commerce and e-export sectors.

The conference, held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Istanbul Kültür University, addressed the future of e-commerce, e-export, and digital commerce, as well as current developments and new opportunities in the sector. Experienced figures from the sector shared their insights on transformations in digital commerce and future predictions with the participants.

The event, featuring representatives from leading companies in the sector such as Entegra, Trendyol, idefix, Amazon, n11, iyzico, E-Adam, and TEKDEV, evaluated the current state and future of the e-commerce and e-export ecosystem. Organized in collaboration with IKU and TEKDEV, the conference contributed to the development of collaborations between the university and the sector and the sharing of knowledge and experience in the field of digital commerce.

IKU-SPECTRA researchers and members of the Dissemination and Communication Unit represented Istanbul Kültür University on an international academic platform by participating in the 29th International Raman Spectroscopy Conference (ICORS 2026), hosted by Istanbul Technical University between August 23-27, 2026. Throughout the conference, our members followed current studies in Raman spectroscopy and related scientific fields and attended academic sessions. They also had the opportunity to share research conducted within the scope of IKU-SPECTRA with the international scientific community through poster presentations.

An orientation program will be organized by the International Office for students coming to our University within the scope of Erasmus+ and exchange programs, on September 9-10, 2026, between 09:00 and 17:00 in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.
